Rebecca Tucker portrait

Rebecca Tucker

Rebecca Tucker is a British painter who depicts nature, with a unique style, between abstract and figurative. Her detailed creative process plays with foreground and background effects. She paints an abstract background and then brings out the motif of a landscape or leaves and trees by adding a white layer that picks out the negative space. This unveils selected parts of her creation which shine with a greater intensity thanks to this work on the shades and glazes. As a viewer looking at the painting, we are immersed in a very sensorial depiction of nature, feeling the wind on the leaves, the atmosphere of a forest at nightfall… Everyone can relate with their own memories and stories through these very delicate landscapes.
