His vision of the world and the often rough circumstances of societies he came across have sharpened his sensitivity and his awareness of injustice. This reading grid is omnipresent in the skinned portraits he draws, with various techniques revealing faces with wicked, shameful, hostile or desperate looks that stare at us without blinking. These figures with masks of flesh arouse complex emotions between the distress of some and the incomprehension of others. He accentuates it by visibly layering the techniques and motifs in a same frame. His artworks reflect his serious concern about all aspects of migration.
